Sinoma engineering design division engaged in design, developing and researching of continuous fiberglass technology, its former name is Nanjing fiberglass research & design institute building design division. It owns Class A qualification for building material and building construction design and consultation, Class B qualification for textile (silicates), municipal project design and consultation (fuel gas and heat power), Class A qualification for environment project and intelligent buildings. Now it owns more than 70 technicians, includes 5 professor engineers, 36 high technicians, 4 architects at the first rank, 7 structure designers at the first rank. The division owns fully and advanced equipment. In 1996, project design CAD web was established. Information management wide-band net was established in 2000. Projects are 100% designed by CAD.
The division has undertaken several national technology key projects and owns advanced technology and patent of direct melt fiberglass. In recent 10 years, it has finished the key project “Research on Glass Fiber Production
Technology” for China’s 8th Five-Year Plan (won a first class national science & technology progress award). It also has undertaken fiberglass production lines design for 20 huge enterprises in China, and successfully accomplished the joint design of China’s first direct melt E-glass fiber production line with the capacity of 10000t/year (won the national gold prize); The division also design civil constructions includes several tall apartment buildings, residential sub districts, huge shopping mall and stadium and also projects of textile, municipal projects. Only in recently 10 years, it won more than 20 excellent design/progress awards at national, ministerial, provincial level.
